如何寫英文履歷表

 

英文履歷表(美國)和中文履歷表(台灣)有什麼差別呢?
履歷表目的都是一樣：是讓你找到工作或至少有一個面試的機會。
但是二者的格式和內容差別可大了!!!

台灣格式以填表格居多；美國則是條列式。
台灣內容像是是身家調查(身高、體重、血型…都必須列入)，但英文的履歷表可不來這一套。

1. 個人資料:
- 英文名子必須跟護照的一模一樣: 
      大部分台灣人護照的英文名子是中文直接翻譯 For example: 秦毓婷 = Yu-Tin Chin 或 Chin, Yu-Tin  
      有一些人護照上可有 Also known as: Tiffany Y. Chin
- 地址翻譯: http://www.post.gov.tw/post/index.jsp
- 電話號碼: +886-3-251-7171 
  手機號碼: +886-926-000-000 (注意手機第一個0是被省略的)
- E-mail or website
2. 英文履歷表一般應列的項目:
Education (學歷)
       - 學校名子務必寫學校正式名子, 不要自己亂翻譯
       - 日期: Attending date - graduation date (or expected graduation date)
       - 大學學歷: Bachelor of Arts/Engineering/Laws/Science (B.A.)
       - 碩士學歷: Master of Arts/Business Administration/Education/Engineering/Science/Philosophy (M.A.)
       - 博士學歷: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
       - 美國總平均以 GPA (Grade point average)來算. 如果GPA 有3.0/4.0以上就可寫在履歷裡!  
       - 主修 Major; 副修 Minor
Relevant Coursework (相關學科 )
Work Experience (工作經驗)
       - 職稱 ex: student worker, private tutor
       - 公司名稱: 請查出最正式的名稱
       - 工作日期: Feb. 2009 – present 
       - 工作內容敘述:
                - 1-2 sentences
                   開頭用action verb
                   內容要詳細 (who, what, when, where, why, how, results)
                   Ex) Tutored math to an undergraduate student and helped him score a 90 on his college entrance exam.               
Awards, Honors, Fellowships, Scholarships (嘉獎, 榮譽, 獎學金)
Activities (社團/活動) 
Computer Skills (電腦能力) 
Language Skills (語言能力)
- 國語 = Mandarin Chinese
          - 台語 = Taiwanese
          - 客家 = Hakka 
          - 母語 = Native Speaker
          - 初級 = Beginning ;中級 = Intermediate; 高級: Advanced

3. 可以選擇性列入的項目(對你找這份工作會有幫助的項目才須列入)：
Conferences (參加過什麼研討會)
Skills/Accomplishments (專長及成就)
Certifications/License (證照/執照)
Military (兵役/兵種)
Leadership (領導能力)
Training and workshops (受過的訓練)
Memberships (會員)
Travel (旅遊過什麼地方)
Office machines (會使用的辦公器材)
4. 日期: Aug. 2008 – Dec. 2008 = Fall 2008  (第一學期)           
               Feb. 2009 – June 2009 = Spring 2009 (第二學期)

5. 格式：內容盡量縮減為一頁。
             頁邊空白(Margins)：2.54公分(內文如需多一點空間，可調小)。 
             字體：必須一致。
